Catalysts
In co-operation with its customers LANXESS develops tailor made iron oxide for the production of catalysts, e.g. as they are used for the synthesis of the styrene monomer from ethyl benzene. The morphology and chemical composition of the iron oxide precursor has a big impact on the quality of the catalysts.
