Inorganic Pigments for the Coloration of Paper
The business unit INORGANIC PIGMENTS offers a variety of iron oxides for the production of colored paper.
Main application for BAYFERROX is the bulk coloration of impregnated and pressed laminate paper which is mainly used in the furniture and flooring industry.
Another application is the coloration of paper for cigarette tips. The heavy metal content of pigments used in this application is limited in many countries. We offer the certified high-purity pigment _Bayferrox® 920 Z for the production of tips that are sold in these regions.
Because the paper industry has high quality standards, LANXESS provides a palette of Bayferrox grades which has been tailored to the needs of the industry. All pigments are tested in laminate paper and packed in water repulpable bags. The closed bags can be directly added to the pulper without dusting. Big bags are also available.
The pallets are marked with the quality label "_Tested Paper quality". All deliveries are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis which lists the data of the particular lot.
Moreover LANXESS runs a modern paper laboratory to solve application technological problems for our customers.
